TSCRA Special Ranger Jimmy Dickson, District 14, East Texas, reports 15 calves are missing from a ranch in Van Zandt County. The calves are mostly black, weight 350 to 500 pounds each. Most of the calves are Brahman-influenced crossbreds. All of the calves had ear tags at the time of the theft.

A Mississippi man was charged on Wednesday, Sept. 10, in the District Court of Rogers County, Okla., on felony obtaining property with a bogus check. Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association (TSCRA) Special Ranger Bart Perrier led the investigation.
TSCRA Special Ranger Brent Mast, Dist. 22 in southeast Texas, reports the theft of a two calves and a cow from a property in Waller County some time between Sept. 10 and 14. Stolen were red and black heifer calves, both weighing approximately 350 pounds, and a cream colored cow. None of the animals have any marks or brands. An Oklahoma man was arrested Wednesday, Sept. 10 and charged with theft of livestock after turning himself in to authorities in Wheeler County, Texas. TSCRA Special Ranger Ben Eggleston led the investigation. According to Eggleston, the suspect, Rusty Shane Munsell, 43, of Woodward, Okla., is accused of purchasing four horses with a check from a closed account. Three of the four horses were recovered by Eggleston and returned to the rightful owners. Munsell is being held in custody on a $50,000 bond in Wheeler County.
