Osage County men charged in cattle thefts

Cody Joseph Porter, 32, of Sperry and Michael Joseph Demaro, 43, of Skiatook were charged in August with five counts of larceny of domestic animals (livestock). The charges are the result of an investigation led by TSCRA Special Ranger Bart Perrier. The investigation began after a series of calf thefts in late June near Avant, in southern Osage County. Perrier discovered that the missing calves had been sold through several different livestock auction markets in Northeastern Oklahoma and Southern Kansas. Records from the auction markets tied Porter and Demaro to the crimes. The investigation also revealed several related cattle and equipment thefts across Oklahoma.Read more…

TSCRA Crime Watch: Stolen skidsteer in SE TX

TSCRA Special Ranger Tommy Charbula, District 24 in southeast Texas, reports the theft of a John Deere skidsteer from a property near Rosharon in Brazoria County. Sometime after Aug. 26 a thief or thieves cut a chain on a locked gate to steal the yellow 2008 John Deere 332 skidsteer with serial number T 0332TEI 56580. TSCRA Crime Watch: Saddles, tack and electronics taken in Weatherford theft

TSCRA Special Ranger Wayne Goodman, District 10 in North Texas, reports saddles, tack and other items stolen from a property in Parker County sometime after Sept. 14. Among the items stolen were two custom cutting saddles: the first with 3/4 floral tooling, roughout seat and fenders with a chocolate brown border, horn and swells; The second with 3/4 geometric tooling, roughout seat and fenders, and a chocolate colored border, swells and horn. Also taken were 5 tooled headstalls with silver buckles; a silver mounted Randy Paul bit with RP on the mouthpiece; double-stitched latigo reins; many pairs of custom-tooled spur straps, some with silver buckles; many pairs of custom chaps and a box of chap leather whole hides; and an array of bag punches. Stolen electronics included 2 Nest indoor security cameras and a Nikon D7000 DX digital SLR kit, as well as a Netgear router and miscellaneous camera and computer equipment. TSCRA Crime Watch: Calves missing in SE TX

TSCRA Special Ranger Hal Dumas,  District 21 in southeast Texas, reports 2 calves missing from a property in Robertson County. The white heifer calf and black bull calf both weigh about 500 pounds, each, and were last seen on Aug. 26. The bull calf had a yellow ear tag. Reward offered for information on criminal damage to Erath County property

A $1,000 reward has been offered for information leading to the indictment or arrest of the parties responsible for criminal mischief with damages of approximately $30,000 at a property in Bluff Dale. Sometime between Aug. 25 and 26 a bulldozer was used to damage approximately 200 feet of fence, destroy a 1500-gallon water trough and knock over and damage a windmill, before dislodging the driveshaft out of the bulldozer.
