TSCRA Crime Watch: 13 calves and trailer stolen in S Central Texas

TSCRA Special Ranger Kenny Murchison, Dist. 20 in south-central Texas, reports the theft of 13 head of calves and a cattle trailer from a Williamson County property near Georgetown. Sometime between July 11 and 12 an unknown person or persons cut locks on adjoining property’s gate to steal 13 calves weighing around 300 pounds, each. The calves are 11 black with white faces, 1 red and 1 white, with no brands, ear notches or tags. The stolen trailer is a black with white tarp 24-foot gooseneck. It has butterfly gates on the rear and one of the rear top bars is bent. TSCRA Crime Watch: 28 mature cows stolen in NE OK

TSCRA Special Ranger John Cummings, Dist. 5 in northeast Oklahoma, reports 28 cows of various colors taken from a pasture in Craig County sometime after July 6. The mature cows are between 10 and 12 years old, mixed black and red colors, all with an S over J connected brand on the left hip. Some calves may also be missing but they will not be branded or marked. Reward offered for information on killing of Randall County steer

Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association (TSCRA) Special Ranger H.L. Dempsey and local authorities are seeking information after a Angus steer was found shot to death on a ranch south of Canyon in the Texas Panhandle. A cash reward of up to $3,000 is being offered for information leading to the indictment or arrest of the person or persons responsible for the crime. Operation Cow Thief, an anti-theft initiative led by TSCRA, is offering a $500 reward, with the two victims offering a combined $2,500 additional reward.

The 11 head of unbranded 600-weight crossbred heifers were last seen at 5:00 p.m. Monday, June 12, and when victim arrived at 7:00 a.m. the next morning, they were gone. All the heifers have an under bit in right ear.
