TSCRA Crime Watch: Nine F1-type heifers missing in SE TX

TSCRA Special Ranger Hal Dumas, Dist. 21 in southeast Texas, reports 9 head of F1-type heifers missing from a property in Burleson County. Bonham man arrested in case of worthless checks used to purchase cattle

A Bonham man was arrested Wednesday at his residence on charges of third degree felony theft of livestock in the case of worthless checks used to purchase cattle. According to TSCRA Special Ranger Toney Hurley, Timothy Randall Mayo, 45, is accused of writing a worthless check to the Sulphur Springs Livestock and Dairy Auction for cattle purchased in February.

Authorities searching for suspected East Texas cattle thief

A $500 reward has been offered through the TSCRA Operation Cow Thief hotline for information leading to the arrest of theft suspect Marvell Galloway, 60, of Carthage, who is accused of stealing four head of cattle from an elderly Carthage rancher.
