TSCRA Crime Watch: Cattle missing in SW OK, N TX; Sound system taken from West livestock market
TSCRA Special Ranger Wayne Goodman, Dist. 10 in North Texas, reports 4 head of cattle missing from a property near Stephenville in Erath County sometime after April 25. Missing are 4 head of hornless black Brangus heifers weighing approximately 650 pounds, each. These cattle are unbranded. TSCRA Special Ranger John Cummings, Dist. 5 in eastern Oklahoma, reports 17 head of cattle missing from a property East of Blanco in Pittsburg County sometime after March 30. Missing are 16 head of black Angus cross cows weighing approximately 1100 pounds, each. These cows were branded with a W over Bar on the left hip and had red ear tags in their right ear. Also missing is a black Angus bull weighing 1200 t0 1300 pounds, with a W over Bar brand on the left hip and a red ear tag in the right ear. TSCRA Special Ranger Marvin Wills, Dist. 15 in Central Texas, reports that the sound system was stolen from the livestock market in West between 10:00 p.m. May 10 and 9:00 a.m. on May 11. The system was Peavy brand and it’s possible the purpose of the theft was to disrupt the auctions to be held on Thursday. Anyone with information should call Special Ranger Wills at 254-865-2571.
